Hunters Hill

A black and white themed modern house that fitted into the existing bushland surroundings.

The clients wanted a Black and white themed home that used recycled products and natural timber that blended into the bushland setting, overlooking the Lane Cove river. In addition, they wanted to take advantage of the houses history by keeping as many existing materials as possible and using the existing walls and structure but giving the 1960s original home a modern touch. As it would be home to a young family it was important that the home was free flowing and thermally self-sufficient.
